Antony Blinken Urges Free And Fair Elections in Bangladesh

Sheikh Hasina was re-elected for a third term in 2014 elections deemed unfair by international observers. 

She gained a fourth term in 2018 following elections marred by violence and widely condemned as fraudulent by observers both inside and outside the country.

During a recent visit to the United States by Bangladesh's Foreign Minister, Secretary Antony Blinken admonishes him that the world is looking for fair and free elections in Bangladesh this year.
